The evolution of Stafford Hair began in Stranmillis in 1996. Paul and Leisa had a dream to create venues and spaces where clients could experience first class hairdressing and affordable luxury. The success of the Stranmillis salon made way for their Great Victoria Street ground-breaking super salon. 6000 square feet of unadulterated salon, spa and wellbeing luxury. Even today it is still talked about as the ground zero of modern Northern Irish Hairdressing.
As public taste and expectations change the Stafford’s’ decided to once again revisit South Belfast with their iconic Robert Jamison designed Lisburn Road atelier. This salon combined the style of Great Victoria Street with the intimacy of their original Stranmillis base. Taking it’s inspiration from spiritual buildings of worship and Victorian architecture; their Lisburn road salon navigated its way through the great recession of the late 2000’s into the brave new world we find ourselves today.
Stafford Hair post-recession had an almost renaissance-like rebirth with a young brilliantly talented team combined with the experience of some of the biggest, most well-known artists in the hair industry; their global reputation reached new heights as innovators, educators and industry spokespeople.
Never one to rest on their laurels, the Stafford’s continue to forge ahead in pursuit of interesting places and spaces to service their loyal clients and educate the next generation of the future Stafford stable of stars. Watch this space for an exciting new concept in hair and education by the Stafford Hair brand for 2021.
